Juxtaposition
Sandstone and granite
Balmaha Visitor Centre, Loch Lomond, Scotland
| This work was commissioned by Dumbartonshire County Council to represent the phenomenon of the complete bifurcation of the West Highlands created by two distinct rock formations. The sculpture uses two rocks to symbolise the West Highland Fault. The space between the rocks has a serpentine quality, representing the feminine aspect between two powerful more masculine forms. |
